New Freeview channel offers PPV Bollywood

A new Pay Per View (PPV) channel has launched on the Freeview platform, giving viewers access to Bollywood movies without subscription charges.

TView will allow viewers to pay for movies via SMS text messages, on the phone or via the website, using a credit card or PayPal.

TView be premiering movies like ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’, ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Golmaal 3′ in its first two weeks of inception.

Other than Bollywood movies, TView will showcase a broad range of mainstream and independent films from the UK, the USA and around the world.

Bollywood movies are scheduled to air at 21:00 Wednesday nights on the channel.

TView will be commercial-free and is situated on Freeview channel 32.

“Our unique model means that we can respond to popular taste much more precisely, tailoring our menu of films to meet real audience demand,” says Sean O’Hara, Commercial Director at TView.

“We’re passionate movie watchers ourselves. From the outset, our goal has been to build a ‘people’s film channel’ that fosters a conversation with viewers and enables audiences to help shape the way the channel evolves.”
