Gay lifestyle channel Faze TV readies launch

A brand new lifestyle channel for the gay community is being launched in September on Sky Digital.

Faze TV will become the first lifestyle channel for gay men in the UK. It will have a programme budget of £5 million and plans to telecast a vast range of programming including fashion, music, sport, fitness, drama and movies.

The channel will be launched by former Sky Italia Programme Controller David Bouchier; "Gay channels have launched successfully in the US and France in the past 12 months...The proposition is perfect for extending the appeal of multichannel television to an important niche audience."

Faze TV will be available as a premium monthly channel.
