A new movie channel, with a difference will launch on Sky next February.
Provisionally titled "Inside Movies", the channel will provide everything but movies.
Its main programming will include feature listings, film previews and behind the scenes footage from films. Viewers will also be able to access information about new releases through an interactive facility.
The channnel is a joint venture by AIM and Enteraction TV and will broadcast 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
Mark Cullen, the chief executive of Enteraction TV, said: "The channel will give viewers unique access to exclusive content, original programming and a national interactive platform linked to cinemas across the UK."
Director of Development & Marketing for AIM, Diana Berman, said: "This is the first time the UK film and cinema industry has entered into a Joint Venture TV channel. The launch of this exciting new venture is a prime example of the mandate for the collaboration and innovation that exists within the UK film industry. It’s our mission to reach out and engage the consumer, to showcase the diversity of the cinema experience across all media."
